Because I'm in an updaty mood tonight.

A question to pose: how are folks liking the theme pieces so far? Yes, the comments are lovely, and I thank you for them. They're just a bit piecemeal and quiet and small, and I'd like some general opinions, please and thank you.

Personally, I'm liking them. They're helping to flesh out the canon (in my skull) characteristics of Kailas and Hova for later use in Ryuke. Especially for Hova, given a lot of ideas I have for other pieces and such.
Ryuke's going okay. I'm trying to figure out how I want the first couple of chapters to go, since I have rough ideas of what I want them to accomplish by the end of them, so it's interesting to see how it goes. Hmm. Original work, such new territory despite all the original work I really wind up doing within fan fiction.

Moods and such are doing okay, too. Typical slowdown of winter, tied in with the knee starting to go. I've packed my cane, though, so it'll be okay. We'll just see if it gets as bad as normal to need major painkillers--vicodin is illegal here.

Japan on its own is fine, too. I'm getting my routines--though classes generally remain urgle worthy. Hmmph. Persevere, persevere, find interesting things beside.
I haven't decided when to do the next radio broadcast, since the overarching theme isn't decided yet. But I still want to do it, so no worries. Look forward to it, if you will.

Also, if you will--I tend to update my livejournal (listed in that spot in the user info below) with other stuff I don't feel is fully relevant to DA, but still maybe interesting for silliness and me mulling on writing and how Japan is going and how I relate to all those things. I enjoy it, for it is good and proper place for ranties and mullings.

And, as always, the parting close: how are you good folks doing lately? It's been a while since I updated.

There's a hate inside of me like some kind of master
I tried to save you, but I can't find the answer
I'm holding onto you, I'll never let go
I need you with me as I enter the shadows

It's crazy how well she fits your character XDD

May I be a snot and ask how the colors are going, and if your trip to Washington was funsies?

I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
As far as you know.
And my trip to washington was kinda boring as usual >XDD

Washington's not that boring...I miss my lil' evergreen state.

Anyway, I'm very happy with the ending of Chigai. It was wonderful.
I started reading Ye Chang Meng Duo for the third time today. It's still one of my favorite Katoph pieces, and actually one of my first introductions to slash fiction in general.
ANYWAY... I hope you have a pleasant night and I look forward to seeing your next work. <3

Maybe I do.
Though I have to admit that I'm surprised people still like YCMD so much. Not in a bad way, since I do like the story in its own special way. Just surprised it's enduring well. And proud that it seems to be a few people's intros to slash and/or Katoph.
You have a lovely night as well, and I hope you enjoy the various pieces I'm uploading.

I was really glad you had a complete ending. There weren't any loose ends and it felt like the ending of Avatar itself. (Sans the bit with Zuko)
The wedding was a great thing to end with and I felt it gave Hova and Kailas a new beginning with, hopefully, a significantly smaller amount of action in their lives.
I find it hard to imagine not enjoying any of your work, so I definitely look forward to it.
And just because I ask everyone: What kind of music do you listen to?
--
Maybe I do.
I did feel a little shorted in terms of completeness from the Avatar finale, and I'm glad my efforts to complete my story while providing for enough non-loose ends to indicate that there are futures of peace and happiness for everyone--and especially Kailas and Hova--were not in vain.
Ah...my music? Well, I listen to bands like Disturbed, 10 Years, Jimmy Eat World, and The Decemberists. I like movie soundtracks a lot, J-rock and such a lot, some musicals here and there, classical, some jazz...almost everything but rap and most country, really. I thrive on sound and music, and I'm glad to find new stuff.

Ok, well, this may be a little too out there for your tastes, but...
Have you ever heard of Imogen Heap/Frou Frou? She is quite possibly my most favorite musician.
Also, a band called "The Hush Sound". I've yet to meet anyone who doesn't like them, but like I said, they're different and you may or may not like them. Another strange artist I like is Regina Spektor. She's VERY strange, but great.
I love The Decemberist. I listen to about the same things as you. I love musical sound tracks and classical and I listen to a TON of instrumental things as well as oldies.
I know what you mean about completeness in the Avatar finale. While I felt it was a good ending and they completed the actual story, I felt there was a lot they could have done with it. I would have enjoyed more character development, honestly, and I felt that Toph was kind of like, forgotten, in the end. I just didn't feel that her (or Katara, for that matter) got the action they deserved in the end.

Maybe I do.
